The Association of Professional Engineers Australia (APEA) has made a submission to the NSW Government’s Building Stronger Foundations discussion paper on reforms to the building and construction industry.

Our submission is primarily focused on responding to questions 17 and 18 in the discussion paper, namely, are existing licensing regimes appropriate to be accepted as registration for some builders and building designers, such as architects, for the new scheme? And, what occupations or specific activities are involved in ‘building design’ and should be in scope for the registration scheme?
