Workplace advice & support
Employment and workplace law is a complex and constantly changing area.
You’re not expected to be an expert in these areas, that’s what we’re here for.
We offer advice to our members and, when needed, representation on more serious issues that can include breach of contract, bullying and unfair treatment, unfair dismissal, redundancy and other common workplace problems.
Workplace advice and support is provided by a team of experienced legal and industrial officers. When you contact us you can be assured that your confidentiality will be respected, no approaches to other individuals or organisations will be made without your approval and that you will be consulted on action we propose on your behalf.
Each year we help hundreds of members resolve all kinds of workplace issues.

LGEA members have access to all services offered by the Professionals Australia careers team.
Whether it's a contract review, a resume review, assistance with your job search or interview training, the careers team is on hand to assist.

The LGEA's Wills Service provides members with access to a high quality Will or Will, Power of Attorney and Power of Enduring Guardianship package at a competative rate that will then be further subsidised by the association depending on the length of membership with the LGEA.
Registered Professional Engineer of Professionals Australia (RPEng) is the professional engineer accreditation program established by the Association of Professional Engineers Australia (APEA).
RPEng was established to give degree-qualified engineers a more affordable and more practical solution to engineer accreditation.
As an assessment entity for the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (BPEQ), APEA has the highest professional standards.
All that we ask is that applicants are a member of Professionals Australia or the LGEA, have at least five years’ experience as an engineer, an eligible engineering qualification and undertake continual professional development.
If this sounds like you, visit www.professionalengineers.org.au/rpeng/
