Negotiations for the next Local Government (State) Award have commenced.

The LGEA surveyed our members as part of a special members only section of our recent Award and Remuneration Survey to form our log of claims. The LGEA log of claims was endorsed by the Committee of Management on 26 August 2022 and provide to the industry parties on 5 September 2022.

Each of the parties have tabled their log of claims, and we have scheduled dates for bargaining through to June 2023, when we hope to finalise the new deal as the current Award expires.
