Covid-19 splinter award continuation

On 20 April 2021, LGEA representatives along with relevant industry Unions appeared before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission to formally endorse the Local Government (COVID-19) Splinter (Interim) Award 2021.

This Award replaces the Local Government (COVID-19) Splinter (Interim) Award 2020, which had a 12-month term and expired on 8 April 2021.

The 2021 Splinter Award will commence operation from 8 April 2021 and will remain in force until 7 April 2022. We hope that no members will need to access these provisions, but we are glad we have been able to secure them for another 12 months.
